At lunch on the slopes in Courchevel, ski clothes are the norm everywhere, including the most expensive terraces. In the evening in 1850, smart casual is expected; clubs apply a selective door on busy nights.

Lunch: ski gear is fine everywhere. Leave helmets and boots' buckles undone at the door, not on the table.
Dinner in 1850: smart casual. A jacket is never compulsory in the houses of this guide.
Moriond, Village, Le Praz, La Tania: relaxed, mountain-casual.
Clubs: the door is selective at peak times. Booking a table through a concierge is the surest way in.
