Django
Django is a large piano bar and restaurant on Rue de la Croisette in Courchevel 1850, a little sensual and a little impertinent, where dinner turns into a party. The pianist plays everything from Michael Jackson to La Vie en Rose, jazz takes over, then a DJ joins him as the lights come up, until nobody is eating any more.
Django is less a restaurant than an experience. The room is large, the mood a little sexy, and nobody quite knows how the evening will go.
The first service is relaxed: the piano sets the tone, people sometimes sing along. At the second service it takes off: guests stand up, dance at their tables, and the tension builds with the lights until everyone stops eating to party.
The music is international and timeless, pop and rock that every generation knows, played live and then mixed with a DJ. It feels like an American jazz piano bar turning into a disco of today: not old-fashioned, just multi-generational. It belongs to Maison Tournier.
